Frozen Copepods
Our copepods have been sterilized and certified virus-free and have a low water content. It is proven that copepods replace up to 100% of the consumption of Artemia cysts.
Thanks to its high content of unsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids, proteins and lipids, it constitutes an important source of nutrients for marine animals in their larval stage. Its use is highly recommended due to its excellent nutritional profile and high energy content.
DHEA (22:6ω3): min. 12mg/gram of dry weight.
EPA (20:5ω3): min. 6mg/gram of dry weight.
It contains astaxanthin, a natural carotenoid pigment and antioxidant.
We offer two ranges of animal sizes, 500-800 µm and 700-1300 µm, which are suitable for feeding different larval stages of shrimp and fish.
The shelf life of copepods is up to 3 years if stored at a temperature equal to or less than -18ºC (-0.4ºF)
